ACLU Files Suit Against the NSA

    The Government’s rounding up of phone records and internet activity of millions of Americans in the name of national security has led it to being named in a lawsuit. The American and New York Civil Liberties Unions filing a civil case against the National Security Agency.

    FOX’s Trace Gallagher has details:

    The ACLU back in 2006 also sued the NSA under the Bush Administration saying you’ve got to stop spying on us so, this was certainly coming. What they’re saying, the ACLU is that this violates our rights to free speech, our rights to privacy and our rights to association. Verizon which of course is the company that turned over millions and millions of phone records; they’re saying that Verizon is also the carrier for the ACLU and that they do a lot of work with whistleblowers and legislators and clients, and they feel like their privacy is also being violated.
