The leftovers are in the fridge… let the Black Friday shopping begin!

FOX News Radio reporter Tonya J Powers talked with some Black Friday bargain hunters, asking them why they do it:

While many of us wouldn’t go near a store today if our lives depended on it, Black Friday veterans like Dani Hauer, are out there in full force.

(Hauer) “I’m a bargain shopper to begin with. I usually won’t buy anything unless I have a coupon.”

It started years ago for her.

(Hauer) “We’d go to my grandmother’s house and there was always a K-Mart trip. That was our tradition. It started with that, and she passed away, but I still do it.”

    Rachal Fuller loves it…

(Fuller) “Black Friday is like another holiday for my family.”

They shop in different places, picking things up for each other…

(Fuller) “It’s like a… it’s like a high. I guess.. you know what I’m saying? Because you know, you go out there and you’re trying to catch these good deals, and you’re like ‘Oh yeah, yeah, I need that!’ …you know… ‘Oh, look at that one!’…you know what I mean?”

She takes her grown son with her.

It’s their own tradition… And it helps keep people from taking items from her cart too.

(Fuller) “He’s kinda like my bodyguard, too, because you never know, because you got these people trying to steal things out of carts and stuff so you gotta have a bodyguard.”

This is projected to be the biggest shopping day of the year… And Dani’s thrilled.

(Hauer) “I guess it’s just fun… standing in line with everybody. We’re all kind of crazy, standing out there freezing… and you just get good deals.”
