Comey Will Testify before the Senate Intel Committee

The FBI director fired last week by President Trump, has agreed to testify in open session for a key Senate panel.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Former FBI Director James Comey has agreed to testify for the Senate Intelligence Committee in open session.

The panel’s Republican chairman Richard Burr and Democratic vice chair Mark Warner say that hearing will be scheduled for sometime after Memorial Day.

Comey’s firing has raised questions for many lawmakers after word of a memo drafted by Comey, about a meeting he had with President Trump, in which the President asked about ending the FBI’s investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

A few Congressional committees have requested that documented and also invited Comey to testify.
