Playing Baseball on the ‘Field of Dreams’ Will Soon Become a Reality

You’ll soon be able to play baseball at one of baseball’s most iconic sites.

    FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

(Field of Dreams) “If you build it, he will come.”

24 baseball and softball fields will soon be built in the corn field in Dyersville, Iowa, that was the site of the famed 1989 baseball movie ‘Field of Dreams’:

(Field of Dreams) “This game is apart of our past Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh people will come Ray, people will most definitely come.”

The Iowa Supreme Court ruling that the city council was justified in rezoning the property from agricultural to commercial. Residents were concerned that traffic would disrupt farming operations in the area.

Thousands visit the site every year already, running the bases of the old movie set.
