Linkin Park Lead Singer Chester Bennington Dead

The lead singer of Linkin Park takes his own life.

The lead singer of Linkin Park has died. The L.A. County Coroner investigating it as an apparent suicide. TMZ reporting Chester Bennington hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes estates Thursday.

The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years and said in the past he considered suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male, the band had one of the biggest album in alternative music history ‘Meteora.’

Their latest album ‘One More Night’ was criticized by many fans for embracing pop. Bennington told the haters to stab themselves in the face…

The 41-year-old was in the band Stone Temple Pilots for a time. He was married twice and had six children and was very close with Chris Cornell, who committed suicide by hanging in May. Thursday would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.
