The Oklahoma native wanted to pitch in to help her home state, but she won’t be at the concert in person. Underwood will appear via satellite from the Grand Ole Opry house since she had a previously scheduled performance.

The concert on July 6th will feature Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Dunn, Mel Tillis and John Anderson, with proceeds benefiting the United Way’s tornado relief fund. More than 80,000 tickets sold in about two and a half hours.

Jo Dee Messina has surpassed her Kickstarter fund goal for a new album, raising $111,000 dollars to fund her new project, “My Time Our Music.” The fans who donated will get kickbacks based on the amount they contributed; like autographed photos and t-shirts, to private dinners and concerts.
