Justice Department Continues to Tackle Opioid Abuse

The Justice Department says it’s making headway in the war against opioid abuse.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Calling it a major milestone, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictment of two Chinese nationals, accused of using the dark web to distribute opioids in the United States. One of the traffickers allegedly operated chemical plants in China:

(Rosenstein) “They were capable of producing quantities of fentanyl and fentanyl analogues of tons at a time.”

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid stronger than heroin, and inexperienced users can easily overdose.
